Program Notes:

This piece was written for and inspired by one of my younger siblings, Everett, who some time ago lost his favorite stuffed animal, Cold Bear.  The two were inseparable until this point.  Everett took him everywhere he went.  When he lost his companion, his whole world changed.  I saw my little brother go through every stage of grief that we would go through for the loss of a loved one.  I am always inspired by the things my siblings teach me. Loss is loss, no matter the size.
